Bem Sertanejo

Hello everyone! How's it going!? Now that Carnaval is over and in theory here in Brasil it's finally 2018 and things have gone to normal. I had to take the rest of the week off after my carnaval special because of work and having to put things in order and all of the new year things I should've done already but just keep thing back.

I am still in the Brasilian Music kind of sharing phase with you guys. Today I want to talk about Michel Telo and his work about the brasilian country music around Brasil. He started to travel around the biggest cities that have the biggest influence in our music. Such as Goiania (my families city) , Tocantins, Campo Grande, São Paulo, Ouro Preto and many other places.

He began the journey with the help of Fantastico, from Globo Studios on every sunday they would release a part of the vist's he would do around Brasil. Not only would he talk about the influence about the music but he would also cover some of the classic's of our Sertanejo (Translation of county music in portuguese), bringing some of the biggest names such as Jorge & Mateus, Zeze di Camargo e Luciano, Paula Fernandes, Maiara e Maraisa and others. The segment was named Bem Sertanejo.

My favorite was with Jorge & Mateus and Zeze di Camargo e Luciano.

Another one I loved was with Henrique & Juliano and Maiara e Maraisa.

After the segment ended Michel came out with Bem Sertanejo the musical, that came to Rio but unfortunately I didn't make it to as I wish I could. The musical had the same concept just no other artist's gathered with him this time, here goes through the time goes by and as well with the evolution of the genre. It's so very beautiful the thought and care he has for the work of others. Not just that but as well as the respect and precision he has with every single moment he has begun this piece.

Unfortunately this no longer in the theater but I still have a feeling it might come back in the future as it did have such an amazing successes and positive note from the public.

And of course he created an album with each and every song called Bem Sertanejo, counting on features and a lot of country.

I'm not a big fan of his work but I can't deny that he has done and amazing job with each and everything about this series he has created. Definitely recommend this album to anyone thats a fan of Country and is in the interest to here something new or just explore.

Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see ya next time! Bye!
