Carnaval in Bahia without a doubt is one of the most exciting in the country especially if your in Salvador! The city counts on three most popular circuits: Dodo, Osmar and Batatinha. There are approximately 150 organized "Blocos" during these circuits to excite even more the crowd.
Around 2 million people are expected during theses days of Carnaval. Many times the blocos present with my best translation electric cars, that have a stage on top, where artist perform. The size of the car/stage depends on the artist and what time they will be presenting. The way I see it is the more popular the artist the better the stage. But if you think about it, it makes sense. Here's a picture for you to understand better.

One of the most promest artists to present ever year is Ivete Sangalo, this year she will not perform due to her pregnancy as her twin baby girls are predicted to come in february. The way we know Ivete here in Brasil, these girls might even be born during Carnaval.

During the whole party goes around, you have the choice to walk in the street, dance around and just have fun with the cars that go around the city with a couple thousand other people, the best part of it all is that it is FREE. You don't pay to just be apart of it in the street, although if you do want more comfort than you have the opportunity to buy a ticket to go into a private area, so you can see the cars go by during the whole show. These cabins are where you'll find almost every single brazilian artist and of course depending on whichever one you choose you might even bump in with the brasilian kind of TVZ.

The prices vary around the company you choose to be with for example there is the cabins of Brahma, Skol, Antarctica and so on. The prices can vary around the year as well, for example artist A is more famous than Artist B, Both on different companies, the company of artist A will be more expensive than B. This is because during the entire show when artist A comes to there designated cabin they stop to perform especially for the cabin, and then proceed with their performance. So depending on who you want to see up close then you'll need to look into it. From my research I have found tickets from 89.99 reals and can go up to 1.8 thousand reais, around 27.47 to 549.52 dollars.

Depending on the packet you get with your tickets can include open bar, food, and so on. Most of all the packets include the Abada that is a t-shirt with the brand names and all the others that created the event, you are free to DIY the shirt as much as you want. Some cabins even have a table for you to do so and people to help if you are interested.

If you are ever planning on going then you should, Carnaval is an amazing experience. Not just the whole celebration but the happiness you seen in the people there, our country hasn't been doing well and if you've seen the news lately then you can probably imagine what we all have been going through. And I see Carnaval as a little break for us all to just take some time off from being worried and have some fun. Thanks for stopping bye everyone! See ya tomorrow!
