Hello everyone! Been a long time no see, I got caught up with my school work, extra classes and studying for my ENEM (brazilian SAT). I have been only writing, nothing about posting and for that I am sorry. I actually had something planned out for today but I just heard Sam Smith's new song Pray and I couldn't help but think about all the heartbreak the world is facing in the last months or so.
It's never been easy to deal with a lost or have to see a tragedy so big and think you can't do anything. If you've been seeing to news lately you'll now that last month hurricane irma passed through the caribbean's with 25 dead. Millions in safe homes, thousand houses flooded. In Porto Rico, many people still missing and 16 confirmed dead. While in Europe there have been many terrorist attacks and no sign of any of this being over. Las Vegas having a mass shooting during a country music festival. Brasil going through so many army operations in the slums to defeat the drug dealing. Making many of us feel unsafe, as if there was nothing we could do. That there is nothing to be done. But there is!
For the natural disasters you can sign up with Avaaz just as I did in 2013, They share a passion of protecting the earth and being able to make some of the climate changes back to how it was before any of us made these mistakes of polluting the world. This hasn't been the first time we've seen attacks like this not that long ago. Miley Cyrus even sang a song dedicated on the shooting of Las Vegas on the Jimmy Fallon
The little you do is already enough, either it been a prayer, signing up for a petition, donating and thing another person need or just keeping hope that there will be better days. All we must keep in mind is to maintain the peace, love and respect with everyone around us and even those we don't know.The world need it now more than ever. Just like in Miley's song The Climb. "Keep on moving, keep climbing, keep your faith"
