The Oscar's

I’m more then excited for the oscar’s! I can’t believe it’s already around the corner! It felt like yesterday when Mad Max took home nearly all the trophies. I remember being super quiet when I saw my favorite’s win the awards and when they didn’t win trying not to wake my mom up.

To be the only award show that I really love to stay up and watch is the oscar’s, and second comes the grammy’s. To me the Oscar’s are one of the coolest. It brings together all the important people within the wonderful world of theater. You’ve got the makeup artist, director’s, screenplay writer’s, producer’s, actors and actresses. There’s a trophy for best movie, best leading role, best special effects and best original song! And that’s exactly the one I am most looking forward for! So let’s get into that.

As we all now La La Land is a favorite for the night just like Hamilton for the Tony’s in 2016. Everyone is raving about how great the soundtrack is and I’m not saying it’s not. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen such a original musical written for cinema just like this. Nearly everything in his movie look’s perfect! Although I don’t know how will win this category. After all there are so many great ones this year…

How far I’ll Go from the movie Moana. We have already discussed over Moana here and I find the song to be a perfect fit for the message the movie brings and the kind of voice they chose to sing, Alessia Cara. I’m a big fan of Hamilton and although I have only heard the soundtrack and do not have any idea when I will get to see the play, Lin Manuel Miranda know’s what he’s doing. The only thing is the song didn’t have as much as an impact like Let it Go from Frozen…

Justin Timberlake’s Can’t stop the feeling for the movie Trolls is without a doubt one the hit summer hit! He released the song before any one know it was in partnership with the film. As it was already a success there was no way it wasn’t going to be a success for the film and guarantee a seat for them at the oscar’s.

I don't really feel like the other nominees are going to win, but there can always be a surprise just like when Argo won for best film. Although I have my hopes up for Trolls.

This year it’s hard to know how might win I mean with so many great songs and voice behind them. I would like to put my money on La La Land just for obvious reasons as well as Can’t Stop The Feeling. Who are beat’s on?
