Party Decorating

I remember being a kid and the best thing about halloween was going door to door and yelling out TRICK OR TREAT! Those were the days...I really miss it but then again there comes a day where I have to grow up and enter a new phase in my life that does not include trick or treating, that's what my mom says at least.

As you all know I'm seventeen and like most teenagers my age I don't trick or treat anymore well that and the fact that I live in Brazil. Any way that has never stopped me from doing something for halloween like a night in watching nothing but scar movies, eating a lot of sugar with friends, I've also been invited to a halloween party. I have also done a halloween theme birthday party when I turned 15!

In all fairness not going trick or treating is pretty cool because in the end you can always go out to party with a bunch of your friends, have night's in as I've said before, go to sleep, get your baking skills out and make a haunted house cake go for a walk in the woods or not, I mean you decide what ever you what to do.

If your thinking about throwing a party I've got some tips that just might do the trick (no pun intended) here are a couple of things I've done

Since I don't live in a big house for my 15th birthday I rented a party space I wanted to be very different then ever body I knew. I really love halloween and my birthday being in october was just the perfect match! So nothing better to join them together.

My biggest concern through out the party was how was I going to be able to create a place to sit, eat and dance for my guest. My mom's friend suggested we'd buy a long cloth that could extend all the way to a poll that was in the rome and wap on some fake spider webs that you can find in any party store. I bought the ones with fake spiders to make it look even more real, in the end you couldn't really see them but to me it looked pretty cool.

After that was over everything else seemed pretty easy, while my guested arrived I wanted to take a picture with each person and also have some sort of selfie wall where you could take picture's with some silly party accessory's aside. I bought a pice of cloth with spider webs on it.

The next thing I had to think about was the colors of the sheets (black and orange duu') and how many tables there needed to be, I thought about having enough for ever one to site down but then again thinking about it there is always going to people sitting down talking, others dancing, some in the bathroom taking a picture in front of the mirror and some people leave early and etc. So I mad sure there wore enough for my family to sit and have tables "reserved" and had four other tables that fit five people, just in any case a certin amount of guests decided all together to go eat. The decoration for the tables were little ghost's with the dat and my name, credit goes to to my mom for having the idea.

The food was mexican because it's my favorite and every like's it as well. My cake had two layers, purple and chocolate! The rest of the treats wore pretty stander.

As you already know I dressed up as a witch! Every one had a good time and for sure went back home thinking I was weird. All I know for a fact it was one of my favorite birthdays ever! Thanks for sticking by and hope you have a very happy Halloween! See ya' next time!
