TIM MAIA

A couple of weeks ago I went to see a local band present a cover of Tim Maia a brazilian songwriter and singer. He is a big favorite of my mom and aunt. When I was younger we'd listen to one of his CD's in the car. We had some of our friends come along as well and we had one of the best times ever!

My mom ended up loving the band Sopa Som so much she started following them on Facebook, and found out that they would do another cover in a club, I've always told my mom that I can't wait to be able to go "clubing" just like you see in the movie's and stuff. Seeing that my birthday is this tuesday and that the band was going to do another cover, she took me out for my first night out clubing.

Sopa Som did once again there own version of Tim Maia's songs, with a variety of Soul, Funk and Jazz and so on. One of the things I love most of Tim Maia's music is the beat and how he syncs the trumpet, trombone an saxophone toguether. It's a groove that you just have a desperate need to dance to!
