HAMILTON

I absolutely love musical, probably because of High School Musical and all of the Disney Movies out there when I was a little girl.

Hamilton is one of the newest musicals on Broadway today. A original written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. With the theme being not only questions brought up in the 1780's as it also can be related to the questions brought up today.

Based on the life of Alexander Hamilton, one of our many founding fathers, from his young days sailing in to the new land until his last days. This musical is very different from all musicals I have ever seen before. Instead of bringing to the public the typical men and woman that look like our founding fathers Miranda has brought together a cast with many diversity. From the skin complexion to the religion they follow, Miranda has casted those who represent the modern american today.

Not only has he casted the actor's differently but has also selected an alternative way to narrate the songs in witch they take place through out the story proceeds...Hip-Hop! The costumes are one of many attractions to the musical itself. Through out the process of creating Hamilton, Miranda says that he was inspired and immediately thought that rap music was the music of revolution and he was absolutely right!

Because of his bravery for the selection of song writing and cast intrigued many to see the play. And should I must say, I have not yet seen the musical live yet, although it is on my bucket list I have heard and seen snip bits of the play and saw their performance at the Tony awards this year and I must inform you, it's a show you just can't miss out on! Bringing together many different generations especially teenagers such as myself, I believe he and his amazing cast has found a way to bring not only teens but also kids to the life of theater and many other areas of drama. I'm sure if you go you might leave with a chance of questioning way did you tear up over the founding fathers.
